Ice Cream

This is my first summer in New York and holy shit I am melting.
I have been a longtime fan of ice-cream.
The first photo of me going in on a push-pop dates back to 1994.
I thought about some iconic ice cream flavors and asked myself how those flavors translate into a cookie or other treat.

Neapolitan

Neapolitan ice cream is all about nostalgia for me. I remember getting the cartons and eating all of the chocolate ice cream. These cuties look like neopolitan bars melted in the sun, dip them in some m*lk and enjoy their subtle strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavors.

Cookies & Cream

Cookies & cream is another way to say “oreo”.
Oreo’s in the summer make me think of McFlurries & other thick oreo shakes. My hometown ice-cream shop, Ziggy’s, had an oreo flurries that really makes you feel cooler on hot days.
These cookies are soft and reminiscent of high school McFlurry runs (extra oreo, please).

Pistachio

Ordering pistachio ice cream is quite the move when you are in on how delicious pistachio anything is. The beautiful minty green with occasional white chocolate chips really hit the spot as a cute lil scoop on top of my waffle cone.

These cuties need to live in the refrigerator!

Chocolate & Vanilla Cones

Did your mother make you graduate to a cone or are you the first child? I was so messy as a kid and wasn’t allowed to order cones. If I successfully ordered a cone, my mom would ask for a cup and flip my precious cone upside down. Cones are still a messy endeavor but you have to commit to the chase.
